What a week for those who love Apple and want to cancel cable—first Hulu Plus is released for the Apple TV and now Amazon Instant Video has an app for the iPad. All those Amazon Prime subscribers no longer need a Kindle Fire to be able to use the Amazon Instant Video service on a tablet. As of yesterday, Amazon Prime subscribers can get access to all their videos on the iPad.

An Amazon Prime membership costs $79 a year and gets you unlimited 2-day shipping from Amazon, free access to some e-books, and free access to lots of TV shows and movies from Amazon Instant Video. There are lots of other tv show episodes and movies available for purchase from the service as well. Amazon usually offers free trials of Amazon Prime, so if you’ve got an iPad why not try out Amazon Instant Video!
